CSU Proposes Layoffs and Tuition Increase

Colorado State University is proposing a layoff of approximately 40 administrative staff and increasing the tuition by 9%.

This in an attempt to cut around $30M from the budget. Stimulus money should be able to backfill the cuts, but it won’t be enough to cover cuts that have already been made.

Tuition will increase around $398 for instate students and $604 for out of state students.

This still has to be approved by the university’s Board of Governors which will consider the proposal in June.
