As one of the most popular and cost effective forms of marketing “For Rent” ads in today’s market, Craigslist has been great. It has also been a source of frustration and abuse. Publishers on Craigslist have to stay on top of the posting criteria and be ready for changes – I know I had to.

Kayla gives good advise and guidelines on how to make the most of your posts and avoid getting “ghosted” (this is when you post, but it doesn’t actually show up on Craigslist). Some of the basic suggestions are:
1. Don’t spam your posts
2. Be sure to use the same computer whenever possible
3. Change up your content between posts
4. Load up on Keywords
5. Use easy to remember URLs
6. Visual aids – Use quality photos
